Visa to Thailand

A visa for Thailand is an official document that grants you permission to enter and exit Thailand, as well as stay in the country for a specified period. The Thai visa includes the dates of arrival and departure, as well as your passport details. In other words, a Thai visa serves as an entry, exit, and residence permit. Therefore, it can be problematic if you lose your visa or extend your stay in Thailand beyond the departure date specified in your visa.

Without a visa

As a Danish citizen, you can travel to Thailand without a visa if you are visiting as a tourist and plan to stay for no more than 60 days.

When you enter Thailand, you will receive an entry stamp allowing you to stay in the country for up to 60 days.

When entering Thailand without a visa, you must be able to show that you have at least 10,000 baht (approximately 2,500 DKK) available. This amount is per person. For example, if you are traveling with your spouse, the amount required is 20,000 baht.

With a visa

If you, as a Danish citizen, plan to stay in Thailand for more than 60 days or are traveling for business purposes, you will need a visa. We can assist you with this. You can read about the specific visa regulations below.

Note: You cannot purchase a visa at the airport. You must have your visa issued before traveling to Thailand.
