Do you need to have documents legalized?

What is a legalization and what is it used for?

Legalization is a confirmation of the validity of a document, making it ready for official use in another country. Legalization confirms that:

  • The document is issued by a competent and legitimate authority.
  • The signature and/or stamp on the document is genuine.
  • The document is in the correct format.

What is an apostille?

An apostille is a special stamp obtained from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirming the validity and authenticity of the document. Apostilled documents are accepted in all countries that have signed the Hague Apostille Convention and require no further legalization or verification in those countries.

For countries that are not members of the Apostille Convention, further legalization by other authorities, such as the respective country's embassy, will be necessary.

Translation

In addition to legalization, we can provide a qualified translation of documents, verified by the Danish Chamber of Commerce.

Return delivery of your documents

We are happy to send the documents to you once the legalization is complete. Delivery with UPS to an address in Denmark is scheduled for the next business day before 12 PM. Note: Some postal addresses may receive delivery before 5 PM. Please call for more details. No delivery on Saturdays and Sundays.
