As of April 2, 2025, Danes and other EU citizens, who previously could travel visa-free to the United Kingdom, will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter the country.
From January 8, 2025, this requirement already applies to citizens from 48 other previously visa-exempt countries, including the United States, Canada, and others, who wish to visit or transit through the United Kingdom.
The ETA is valid for two years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first, and allows multiple entries to the UK with stays of up to six months.
