Some countries are ligable for ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) for private and business trips to the USA. With ESTA, you can stay in the country for up to 90 days.

To apply for an ESTA to the USA, you will need to go through the following procedure:

1. Fill out the application form.
2. Attach a copy of your passport and, if applicable, a flight reservation to the form.
3. You will receive an invoice, which can be paid via a regular bank transfer or Nemoverførsel (the price includes the embassy fee, our service fee, and Danish VAT).
4. After 3-5 business days, you will receive your ESTA by email, which you must print and present at the border.

ESTA is usually valid for 2 years from the date of issuance, allowing you to stay in the USA for up to 90 consecutive days. Please note that the final decision regarding entry is always up to the U.S. immigration authorities.

With this type of visa, you are not permitted to work.

This procedure applies only to citizens of countries, eligable for ESTA. If you hold a passport from another country, feel free to contact us for more information.

However, there are certain cases where an ESTA is not sufficient, and you will need to apply for a physical visa (a sticker or stamp in your passport). This includes the following situations:

• You have been denied an ESTA.
• You have visited Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, or Yemen after March 1, 2011.
• You need to perform technical work in the USA (e.g., installation, commissioning, supervision, etc.).

If you are not eligible for ESTA and need to travel to the USA for tourism or business, you must apply for a B1/B2 visa through the consulate.

The issuance of the visa requires you to appear in person at the consulate in Copenhagen for an interview. Please note that there may be a waiting time of 1-2 months to get an appointment for the interview.

To apply, please complete the following application form.

For your application, you need to attach:

• 1 color passport photo (You can take it with your phone. No glasses, shoulders must be visible).
• A copy of your passport. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay.
• A copy of your last U.S. visa, if you have had one before (not ESTA).
• Your most recent pay slip
• Your CV.

Once we have received the above, we will contact you to arrange a date for your interview at the consulate.

It takes normally around 1 week to get the visa issued after the interview, however it is up to the consulates discretion.
